Additional Comments:

The initial Contract amount was $2,378,474, Change Order No. 1 increased the Contract amount by $160,966.74, Change Order No. 2 will increase the Contract amount by $138,053.65, for a new total Contract amount of $2,677,494.39.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On October 3, 2023, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 606595-23 for Katie Avenue from Tomsik Street to Cimarron Road, and Cimarron Road from Katie Avenue to Spring Mountain Road to Tand, Inc. (NBE) in the amount of $2,378,474 for street improvement with asphalt pavements, curb and gutter, sidewalk, landscape median islands with live plants, signing and striping, streetlight  and ITS underground, a pedestrian flasher signal at the intersection of Cimarron Road and Twain Avenue, cross culvert extension, culvert headwall, drop inlet, utility adjustments, and other appurtenances as may be necessary.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 120 calendar days from the date specified after the                      receipt of the Notice to Proceed. 
                     Included the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

Change Order No. 1 provided for the extension of pavement limits within the project limits and extended the Contract term by 8 calendar days.

Approval of Change Order No. 2 will provide for costs associated with the Water Line Scope of Work for "Bid Item 629.03 Desert Breeze New Waterline" which includes revisions made to the waterline alignment followed by a delay in the critical path as well as adding the waterline devices for the park and will extend the Contract term by 48 calendar days.  The attached Change Order No. 2 document details the modifications and costs involved.

Tand, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
