BACKGROUND:

On April 27, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Fiscal Recovery Funds for the Counseling-Behavioral Health Program to Jewish Family Service Agency in the amount of $900,000 to provide on-site qualified therapists to address mental health and psychosocial well-being.

The initial Agreement of $900,000 was awarded with federal Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CFDA #21.027).  Jewish Family Service Agency requires more time to complete services and expend funds. The remaining grant award will be funded from non-federal Clark County Recovery Funds and the term will be extended to December 31, 2025.

The following are the pertinent provisions for the Agreement:

1. Change the funding source for the remaining balance of $423,088.39 from Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (CFDA #21.027) to Clark County Recovery Funds.

2. Extend the grant term from December 31, 2024 to December 31, 2025.
