Additional Comments:	Amendment No. 1 will change the Commission structure for a new total Contract amount structure of 25% Commission for Paid Inmate Content Access to County

BACKGROUND: 

On March 19, 2024, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of RFP No. 606614-23 for Video Visitation for Clark County Detention Center to Global Tel*Link Corporation dba ViaPath Technologies (LBE) in the amount of 25% commission to County of revenue generated for video visitation services for the Clark County Detention Center and North Valley Complex.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:

•                     The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2025 and included the option to renew                      for 4, one-year periods.  There are 3 renewal options remaining.
•                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.

Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for a revised fees and commission exhibit, which includes no video visitation commission, per Federal Communications Commission (FCC) guidelines. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.

Global Tel*Link Corporation dba ViaPath Technologies currently holds a Clark County Vendor Registration.
