BACKGROUND:

This year's Fire Prevention Week message is "Cooking safety starts with You.  Pay attention to fire prevention.”  We hope to remind all residents to stay alert and use caution when cooking to reduce the risk of kitchen fires.  During Fire Prevention Week, October 8 - 14, 2023, and throughout the month of October, the Clark County Fire Department will participate in its largest, most concentrated fire prevention effort.  Fire department staff will be teaching fire prevention awareness at local elementary schools and community events.  There will be several highly visible, community-oriented efforts to educate the public in ways we can keep our homes and businesses safe from the destruction caused by fire hazards.

Assistant Chief Wayne Dailey will be in attendance to address the important safety messages of Fire Prevention Week.
