BACKGROUND:

Since February 2023, The Harbor Juvenile Assessment Center in partnership with the Eighth Judicial Court, has been offering crisis response services that include in-home interventions, case management services and resource linkage to youth receiving their 1st and 2nd domestic violence charge and their families. This grant, Youth Crisis Triage and Intervention Services, would allow for the expansion and enhancement of the crisis and stabilization services we are currently providing by having the capacity to respond to other types of crisis or emergent situations that families encounter beyond the scope of domestic violence.  The goal of the program is to provide early intervention when families can safely receive services within the community, thereby reducing traumatic experiences, building family resilience, and creating community connectedness.  The grant application was required to be submitted on September 20, 2023.
