BACKGROUND:

Clark County Code Chapter 3.68 creates the Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC), which was established to make recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners with regard to allocations of federal funding for countywide community development needs and priorities.

In order to better meet the needs of the County and the community while still meeting all the requirements of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) related to community outreach, staff is proposing to update the make-up of the CDAC committee to include only seven (7) voting and three (3) non-voting members.  The seven voting members will be appointed from each commission district, and the three non-voting members shall be appointed by each of the cities in the HUD Consolidated Plan Consortium: North Las Vegas, Boulder City, and Mesquite.

Staff recommends that a public hearing be set for Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
