BACKGROUND: 

On November 5, 2013, the Clark County Board of County Commissioners, acting in its capacity as the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada Board of Hospital Trustees ("Board") adopted an ordinance establishing the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada ("UMCSN") Governing Board under Clark County Code Chapter 3.74.

On February 17, 2026, the Board directed staff to amend Clark County Code 3.74.020 subsection 2 regarding the process in which UMCSN Governing Board members are selected by the Board. 

Staff recommends introduction of the ordinance and setting a public hearing for May 5, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
