BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 605752-20, for Pecos Bonanza Campus; Family Courts/Central Plant, 601C & 651H - Cooling Tower Replacements was advertised on December 14, 2020 and opened on February 8, 2021. The Bid Amounts are as follows:

* The Bids received from MMC Contractors West, Inc., Ryan Mechanical, Inc. and Benchmark Contracting dba Cobblestone Construction are recommended for rejection for failure to meet the qualifications listed in the bid.
This Contract is for site work and the installation of a total of four (4) cooling towers and associated condenser system equipment.
Additive Alternate No. 1 is to provide cooling towers with direct drive fans instead of belt drive fans. Each cooling tower shall be packaged with an electronic variable frequency drive matched to the fan motor by the cooling tower manufacturer.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 100 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
