The initial Contract amount was not to exceed $2,982,857. Amendment No. 1 will increase the Contract by an amount not to exceed $12,000,000, for a new total Contract amount not to exceed $14,982,857 should all renewal options be exercised. |
BACKGROUND:
On June 7, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 606177-22 for State and County ESG-CV Emergency Shelter Program to Help of Southern Nevada (NBE) in the amount of $2,982,857 to provide emergency shelter assistance for homeless individuals and families that include supervision of overnight shelter beds, access to other homeless support services such as housing navigation and other services essential for achieving independent living.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from January 1, 2022 through September 30, 2022.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will add 4, one-year renewal options to allow for the continuation of services and revise the Scope of Work. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.
Help of Southern Nevada currently holds a Clark County Business License.
