Shooting Complex Archery 3d Trails

BACKGROUND: 

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) have developed a community grant program, a portion of which provides funding for development and/or expansion of areas dedicated to providing recreational shooting opportunities for the public.

Parks and Recreation has worked with NDOW at the Shooting Complex for over 15 years since the Shooting Complex opened for the public.  Shooting Complex is looking to do improvements to the 3D archery course and trying to make it more accessible for chair-bound archers.    This grant application will help get this project completed onsite at the park.  

Staff recommends the Board authorize the submission of the grant application for $85,410 to improve the archery 3D trails for ADA access and accept funds awarded.
