BACKGROUND:

In February 2020, Clark County contracted with WSP USA, Inc. (Corporation) to provide engineering services for the bridge, roadway, and drainage rehabilitation for Hotel Rio Drive.  Clark County Public Works proposes to contract with WSP USA, Inc. for the design of the Flamingo Wash between the Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) and Hotel Rio Drive project due to the WSP USA, Inc.'s familiarity with the project location and knowledge of the condition of existing drainage facilities on Hotel Rio Drive from its work with the aforementioned project on Hotel Rio Drive.

County staff negotiated the attached professional engineering services contract with WSP USA, Inc.  The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms.  The time of performance is effective to July 30, 2024, unless time extensions are granted.

WSP USA, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.

Pursuant to the Nevada Revised Statute 332.115(1)(b), contracts for professional services are not adapted to award by competitive bidding and, therefore, are exempt from the bidding requirements.

The District Attorney’s Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
