BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 605934-21, for Cactus Avenue Las Vegas Boulevard to Spencer Street was advertised on December 30, 2021 and opened on February 1, 2022. The Bid Amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for the completion of the improvements on Cactus Avenue to provide for two travel lanes in each direction along Cactus Avenue from Las Vegas Boulevard to Spencer Street. The project improvements include hot mix asphaltic concrete, cold milling of existing pavement, Ultrathin Asphalt Concrete Surfacings (UTACS) overlay, concrete curbs and median islands, asphalt pathway, storm drain facilities, ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, sidewalk repairs, ITS interconnect, traffic signal undergrounds, school flasher, traffic signal modifications and loops, utility modifications and relocations, signage, pavement markings, and other appurtenances required to make a good, complete and serviceable project within the right-of-way. The project is located on the boundary between the City of Henderson and Clark County, Nevada; however, the project’s construction management will be under the Clark County Public Works Department.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 300 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
