BACKGROUND:
The purpose of this amendment is to support the Clark County Airport System of general aviation airports, which includes Henderson Executive Airport, North Las Vegas Airport, Jean Airport, and Overton Municipal Airport (collectively referred to as the General Aviation Airports), by funding capital improvements and operating costs aimed at increasing throughput and capacity in anticipation of projected higher volumes of aircraft traffic. These improvements and operational expenses will be supported in part by the amended Rentals, fees, and charges-General aviation airports paid by based and transient customers who utilize the General Aviation Airports.
This amendment to Clark County Code, Title 20, Chapter 20.10, Section 20.10.013, will gradually adjust the rates, within the established maximums associated with each of the various rentals, fees, and charges, and will introduce new fee categories for larger aircraft at the General Aviation Airports.
Staff recommends that this ordinance be adopted following the public hearing.
