Appointment to the Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC)
Additional Comments:
BACKGROUND:
On November 16, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners approved the appointments of thirty (30) members to the Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) for 2021 through 2022. The current Searchlight TAB representative is no longer able to serve and would like to appoint a replacement. The Community Development Advisory Committee (CDAC) provides a vehicle for citizen participation into the County's U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development grant program. CDAC meetings for the County's Home Investments Partnership Program (HOME) and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) programs will be held monthly through February 2022, beginning December 2021. Committee composition includes a representative and alternate from each of the town advisory boards, citizens advisory councils, and from the Cities of North Las Vegas, Mesquite, and Boulder City, as well as fourteen at-large individuals representing general community concerns. It is recommended that the Board appoint Searchlight TAB representative Sandy Yasenchak to serve on the CDAC.
