BACKGROUND:
At the March 6, 2019 Special Meeting, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) determined an increase in the PFNA fees for the Southwest Las Vegas Valley was warranted as the fees have not been modified since 2001. As a result of that meeting, the Board approved two PFNA fee increases effective on July 1, 2019 and January 1, 2020. At the March 6, 2019 Special Meeting, the Board also directed staff to have an updated study of the Southwest PFNA as well as a County-wide gap analysis performed. RCG Economic was hired to conduct the gap analysis and update.
The results of the gap-analysis and update were presented to the Board on July 7, 2020, November 17, 2020 and on December 1, 2020. At the December 1, 2020 Joint Meeting, the Board approved two PFNA fee increases and directed staff to return with a proposal to update the PFNA fees annually. The PFNA fee increases became effective on February 1, 2021 and July 1, 2021.
Staff requests the Board consider whether to adjust the PFNA fees, and direct staff accordingly.
