Annual Requirements Contract for Uniform Rental

Additional Comments:

The initial Contract amount was $611,871.29, Amendment No. 1 will increase the Contract amount by $20,867.60, for a new total Contract amount of $632,738.89.

 

BACKGROUND: 

On September 18, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 604900-18 for Annual Requirements Contract for Uniform Rental to Unifirst Corporation (LBE) in the amount of $611,871.29 for uniform rental services, including cleaning, pick-up and delivery at each user location throughout Clark County.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:

                     The term of the Contract was from November 1, 2018 through April 30, 2021 and included the option to                      renew for 1, 30-month period and included a 120-day extension.  There are no renewal options remaining.
                     Included the option to increase the award amount up to 25% based on possible increased user                      requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
                     Included the option to increase the award amount up to 2% for possible price increases for renewal terms.
                     Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract                      with advanced written notice.


Approval of Amendment No.1 will extend the Contract term through April 28, 2024.  The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modifications and costs involved.

Unifirst Corporation currently holds a Clark County Business License.
