First Amendment (Amendment) to Interlocal Agreement between the City of Henderson and Clark County for the Rights and Use surrounding the Sunridge Heights Parkway Alignment

BACKGROUND:

Clark County (County) and the City of Henderson (City) entered into an Interlocal Agreement (Agreement) outlining the design and infrastructure requirements for the County's project to expand the northwest apron at Henderson Executive Airport, and the City's project to develop Sunridge Heights Parkway and install a new waterline. The County's northwest apron expansion project was completed in 2023 and the City's waterline project was completed in 2024.

The City and the County now wish to amend the language in the Agreement to reflect the realignment of the roadway project to avoid the Runway Protection Zone (RPZ) and Airport Operations Area (AOA) to the extent possible. Additionally, an indemnification clause is provided whereby the City indemnifies the County from any future liability due to the revised Sunridge Heights Parkway alignment route.

This Amendment was accepted and approved by the City at its City Council meeting on July 21, 2026.

This Amendment has been reviewed and approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office.
