BACKGROUND:

Metro Fibernet, LLC was granted a Telecommunications Franchise on April 15, 2025, to be able to construct, operate and maintain a telecommunication system within certain unincorporated areas of Clark County. Metronet wishes to expand its service area to include the Town of Sunrise Manor.

In accordance with NRS 709.070, public notice has been published in a local newspaper for four consecutive weeks and posted in a public location in the unincorporated town affected at least ten days before the public hearing. The Board is requested to hold a public hearing on March 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. to receive comments or objections to consider awarding a telecommunications franchise to provide telecommunication services in certain unincorporated areas of Clark County.

Following the public hearing, the Board is requested to approve the attached First Amendment to the Telecommunications System Franchise Agreement with Metro Fibernet, LLC.
