BACKGROUND:

Each year the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires Clark County to submit an Annual Action Plan, in order to receive the County's federal allocation of HUD entitlement funding.  For federal FY2026-2027 the County's total allocated HUD entitlement funding is $13,429,874.04.

The FY 2026-2027 HUD Annual Action Plan describes how the County plans to use the entitlement funds including  the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), the HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME), the Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG), and the Nevada Account for Affordable Housing Trust (AAHTF). The total funding in the plan, including funding from the State of Nevada (State HOME and AAHTF), is $20,949,211.34. The Plan must be submitted to HUD prior to June 3, 2026 and includes public comments that were received at public meetings and hearings, and technical corrections were made for accuracy.

The plan was made available for public comment from April 3, 2026, through May 5, 2026, and the comment period was extended to May 19, 2026, in accordance with HUD guidelines.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved this item as to form.
