BACKGROUND:
On April 12, 2021, the Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) sent its proposed Fiscal Year 2022 (FY2022) budgeted rentals, fees, and charges to the LAS Airline and Airport Affairs Committee (LAS AAAC) for review and comments. The rentals, fees, and charges were calculated in accordance with the rate-making methodology contained in the Airline-Airport Use and Lease Agreement. LAS AAAC and DOA met on April 15, 2021, to further review and discuss the proposed FY2022 budget and rate calculations. The net result of the proposed budget is $12.17 per enplaned passenger, which is a $6.81 decrease from the last Fiscal Year. Subsequently, the LAS AAAC unanimously approved the FY2022 proposed budget and sent their formal approval letter on April 17, 2021.
The amendment to Clark County Code, Title 20, Chapter 20.10, Section 20.10.010 contains language to amend the rentals, fees, and charges at McCarran International Airport.
Staff recommends a public hearing be scheduled for June 1, 2021, at 10:00 A.M.
