BACKGROUND:

At the February 15, 2022, Clark County Board of County Commissioner's meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was approved that allowed the Eighth Judicial District Court (EJDC) to operate as an independent agency separate from Clark County.  The MOU outlined the responsibilities of certain governmental services provided by Clark County and the EJDC wherein the EJDC and Clark County memorialized an agreement between the two entities relative to general services, facilities, budget process, personnel administration, finance, and related issues.

This newly created internal service fund is being established so that the EJDC may administer billings and expenses relating to costs that are associated with various employee benefits.  This fund will become effective July 1, 2022.
