BACKGROUND: 

Johnson Controls, Inc. (Company) is the original installer of the CACS and current supplier for maintenance of the CACS throughout Clark County Department of Aviation (DOA) facilities. The CACS is a critical component of the Airport Safety and Security Program and is vital to maintaining security throughout DOA facilities, which include over 2,700 access points. This Contract will ensure continued 24/7 support and maintenance of this critical system.

The initial term of the contract shall be from July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2025, with four (4) one-year renewal options, at an annual cost of $2,459,166.

In accordance with NRS 332.115(1) (c), (d), (g), (h), (i) and (j), this contract is for additions to and repairs and maintenance of equipment which may be more efficiently added to, repaired or maintained by a certain person; equipment which, by reason of the training of the personnel or of an inventory of replacement parts maintained by the local government is compatible with existing equipment; hardware and associated peripheral equipment and devices for computers; software for computers; maintenance and support for hardware and associated peripheral equipment and devices for computers; maintenance and support for software for computers; and equipment containing hardware or software for computers, and is therefore exempt from competitive bidding requirements.

The contract has been approved as to form by the District Attorney's Office. Company holds a Clark County Business License.
