BACKGROUND:

In coordination with the re-authorization of the Clark County Redevelopment Agency, each commission district not containing redevelopment areas was allocated $2.5 million in funds from the FY22 capital budget to focus on economic development opportunities within each district.

Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft wishes to sponsor improvements to the Searchlight Community Garden in partnership with the non-profit Searchlight Betterment Organization (SBO).  The SBO was recently awarded a grant from T-Mobile for $50,000 to purchase a shade structure for the Searchlight Community Garden.  This sponsorship will help cover the cost of installation of the shade structure.
