BACKGROUND: 

The Regional Flood Control District (RFCD) has programmed funds to design and construct flood control improvements. On October 10, 2019, RFCD approved an interlocal contract for design of the Searchlight West - Highway 164 project (Public Works No. PW.FSEA02B). The Board of County Commissioners approved the interlocal contract on November 5, 2019. 

Supplemental No. 5 to the interlocal contract extends the term of the contract for the project from June 30, 2026 to June 30, 2029, to complete design and provide support through construction. The current total contract value for the subject project is $1,090,000.

RFCD approved the fifth supplemental contract at its meeting on June 11, 2026.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the fifth supplemental contract as to form.
