BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to NRS 237.080-237.090, before adopting a proposed rule, the Board must consider a business impact statement  to determine whether the proposed rule will: (a) impose a direct and significant economic burden upon a business; or (b) directly restrict the formation, operation or expansion of a business.

Pursuant to NRS 237.090, a business impact statement must be considered by the Board at a public meeting held
at least 10 calendar days before the public meeting of the Board held to adopt the proposed rule.

The attached business impact statement summarizes the comments received from the business community and
individuals (if any) and addresses the impact of the proposed ordinance on potentially affected businesses.

It is recommended that the Board consider and approve the attached business impact statement.
