BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to Clark County Code Section 2.68.060, the Board of County Commisioners (Board) may authorize additional compensation at the rate of $120 per hour for a hearing officer who serves more than ten hours on any given hearing if the Board is satisfied the additional hours of service were justified and necessary.

Administrative Hearing Officer Holly Stoberski presided over an Administrative Hearing on April 3, 2025.  For this case, Hearing Officer Stoberski provided a total of 11.6 hours of service to prepare for and conduct the hearing and to draft and finalize the written decision. The attached summary invoice statement from Hearing Officer Stoberski provides the service detail and justification for the additional hours.  Hearing Officer Stoberski spent .70 hours reviewing and preparing for the hearing, 3.5 hours conducting the hearing, and 7.40 hours reviewing and preparing the Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law and Decision on the case.  The cost for the additional 1.6 hours of service is $192.

Animal Protection Services within Clark County's Department of Administrative Services requests the Board approve and authorize compensation for the additional 1.6 hours of service provided by Hearing Officer Holly Stoberski.
