BACKGROUND:
A national recruitment was conducted for the position of Clark County Human Resources Director which netted a considerable pool of qualified candidates. At the conclusion of the process, which included a two-step interview, Ms. Dodie Nance was identified as the top candidate for the position.Ms. Nance has more than 18 years of experience in personnel management, including holding multiple executive leadership positions. She has led teams, restructured organizations and overseen recruitment, labor, and class and compensation functions. Ms. Nance has a strong understanding of human resources systems and data analytics. She also has extensive experience working in large, labor-intensive organizations spanning hospitality and gaming. During her career she has focused on building relationships, supporting employees, and guiding leadership in realizing strategic personnel practices.Pursuant to Clark County Code 2.40.100, I respectfully request the Board ratify the appointment of Dodie Nance effective June 1, 2026.
