Approve and authorize the Chair and the Chief Executive Officer to sign the Interlocal Agreement (Agreement) between University Medical Center (UMC) and Clark County (County) for UMC to reimburse the County for acquisition costs of $9,000,000 paid over 2 years for the right to utilize 300 South Martin Luther King Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89106 (Assessor's Parcel Number 139-33-202-003) for UMC to support the main UMC campus; authorize the Director of Real Property Management or her designee to sign any additional documents related to the management of the Agreement; and allocate the reimbursed funds to County capital projects for tenant improvement for the Mineral Campus located at Mineral Avenue and S. BACKGROUND:
On September 15, 2023, Clark County (County) acquired 300 South Martin Luther King Boulevard, Las Vegas, NV 89106, which is a ±35,550 square foot warehouse facility to support County warehouse needs. UMC identified a need for this facility in support of its main campus. The County has agreed to a reimbursement of acquisitions costs of $9,000,000 to be paid in three (3) equal $3,000,000 installments by UMC over the next two (2) years for the exclusive use of and rights to this facility. Staff also requests the Board of County Commissioners to allocate the $9,000,000 to be used for the Tenant Improvements for the Mineral Campus located at Mineral Avenue and S. Martin Luther King Boulevard.
NRS Section 277.180 provides that one or more public agencies may enter into an agreement to perform any governmental service, activity or undertaking which any of the public agencies entering the contract is authorized by law to perform
This item was presented to County Long Range Planning Committee on July 9, 2025. This Agreement was reviewed by the Governing Board at their July 30, 2025, meeting and recommended for approval by the Board of Hospital Trustees.
