BACKGROUND:

Pursuant to NRS 244.2795, prior to the sale or lease of Clark County (County) owned real property, or the acquisition of property on behalf of the County, the County must obtain two (2) independent appraisals of the property prepared by appraisers selected from a list established by ordinance.  Accordingly, on October 18, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) adopted Clark County Ordinance No. 3307 codified as Code Chapter 18.20 (Ordinance).  The updated Ordinance, dated July 16, 2024, is included here, and establishes criteria for determining the qualification of appraisers.  Pursuant to the Ordinance, a solicitation was mailed out on September 25, 2024, with a response deadline date of October 31, 2024.  Exhibit "A" is a list of appraisers who submitted an application and meet the required criteria of the Ordinance.  Pursuant to the Ordinance, existing appraisers from prior solicitations are also included on this list.  Appraisers will be organized at random for future assignments.

This item was presented to the County Long Range Planning Committee on December 11, 2024.
