BACKGROUND:
On November 1, 2022, the Board of County Commissioners approved the award of CBE No. 606007-21 to Johnson Controls, Inc. (NBE) in the amount of $4,281,851.86 for Contract for Purchase, Installation, Repairs &
Maintenance of Countywide Access Control Systems.
On November 17, 2025, the Department was advised of the change of ownership, from Johnson Controls, Inc. to Tyco Technology GmbH dba Johnson Controls Building Solutions, LLC.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract is from effective date through June 30, 2023, and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There is 1 renewal option remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 10% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• Included the option for either party to terminate for cause or convenience with thirty (30) days written notice.
This approval will allow staff to continue under the terms of this Contract with Tyco Technology GmbH dba Johnson Controls Building Solutions, LLC.
Tyco Technology GmbH dba Johnson Controls Building Solutions, LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
