BACKGROUND:

The Clark County LED Upgrades project is a cooperative effort between Clark County and the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), of which NDOT intends to delegate authority to the County to purchase and implement equipment pertaining to the project.  Work will generally consist of removing existing HPS luminaires and replacing them with LED luminaires on County owned 60' right of way streets at various locations. Luminaires are selected from the Clark County Qualified Products List (QPL) for 60' streets. Streetlight wire will be installed in the project areas if missing or damaged, along with other related items of work within the unincorporated area of Clark County, Nevada.

The total project cost is $3,157,895. The federal funding through NDOT is $3,000,000, and the County is required to pay a 5% project match of $157,895. The Cooperative (Local Public Agency) Highway Agreement No. PR170-26-063 formalizes this requirement and identifies the responsibilities of both the County and NDOT.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the cooperative agreement as to form.
