BACKGROUND: 

Clark County Social Services (CCSS) requests that the Board of County Commissioners approve the Local Law Enforcement Advisory Committee (LLEAC) recommendation to eliminate the local solicitation process to identify uses of funds for the for the FY26 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program from the U.S. Department of Justice, Bureau of Justice Assistance.

On June 22, 2026, the Local Law Enforcement Advisory Committee (LLEAC) discussed and voted to suspend the local solicitation process for the FY26 application. 

This item has been approved as to form by the District Attorney’s office.
