BACKGROUND:
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (Corporation), under its subsidiary, CH2M Hill Engineers, Inc., currently has a contract with Clark County to provide engineering services for the Clark County 215 (CC215) Bruce Woodbury Beltway Widening - Craig Road to Grand Montecito Parkway project. As a part of that contract Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. provided a feasibility analysis and 15% design for adding ramps and signage to connect the CC215 Beltway to the frontage roads between Sunset Road and Durango Drive. The County has chosen to move forward with the on-ramps detailed in the feasibility study. Instead of supplementing the existing professional engineering services contract, Public Works has elected to enter into a new contract for clarity of scope and associated fees.
County staff negotiated the attached professional engineering services contract with Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. for the Clark County 215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway between Sunset Road and Durango Drive On-Ramps and Miscellaneous Sound Walls project. The contract describes the services to be provided and stipulated terms, which will include providing two (2) new on-ramps: one from Sunset Road to CC215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway eastbound toward Henderson, Nevada, and the other from Durango Drive to CC215 Bruce Woodbury Beltway westbound/northbound. The project also includes sound wall design and construction to fill in gaps at various locations along the CC215 northern Beltway and the installation of "Wrong Way" signs at the existing off-ramps along the CC215 northern Beltway, where needed, between Jones Boulevard and Lamb Boulevard. The time of performance is effective to June 30, 2024, unless time extensions are granted.
Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the contract as to form.
