BACKGROUND:

On February 3, 2026, the Board of County Commissioners directed staff to review Clark County Code Chapter 8.20 and relax the requirement for a structural barrier separating minors from bar and/or lounge areas in restaurants and taverns.

The proposed ordinance was introduced at the Board of County Commissioners meeting on March 17, 2026, and a public hearing was set for April 7, 2026.

Staff recommends approval of the ordinance to amend Title 8 by amending Chapter 8.20.
