Bid No. 605707-20, for Whitney Park: Aquatic Center and Splash Pad was advertised on October 12, 2020 and opened on December 8, 2020.  The Bid Amounts are as follows:

** The Bids received from Monument Construction, The PENTA Building Group, LLC and Benchmark Contracting dba Cobblestone Construction are recommended for rejection for failure to meet the qualifications listed in the Bid.

This Contract is for the demolition of the existing pool, pool building, related infrastructure, and selective site demolition.  Construction of the new aquatic center consisting of approximately 18,000 sq. ft. of outdoor pools and deck; water play structures, water slide, shade structures; an approximately 5,093 sq. ft. pool building, and 2,196 sq. ft. pool maintenance and equipment buildings; thematic splash pad; site improvements including fencing, parking lot upgrades, and accessible pathways.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
                     The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 360 calendar days from the date specified in the                      Notice to Proceed.
                     Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience                      language as in all public works efforts of this type.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

Rafael Construction, Inc. currently holds a Clark County Business License.
