BACKGROUND:
Bid No. 606595-23, for Katie Avenue from Tomsik Street to Cimarron Road, and Cimarron Road from Katie Avenue to Spring Mountain Road was advertised on May 8, 2023 and opened on June 7, 2023. The Bid amounts are as follows:

This Contract is for Katie Avenue improvements. Project limits are from Tomsik Street to Cimarron Road, including north half street improvements with asphalt pavements, curb and gutter, sidewalk ramp access to and from Desert Breeze baseball fields.
Cimarron Road improvements project limits are from Katie Avenue to Spring Mountain Road, including west half street improvement with asphalt pavements, curb and gutter, sidewalk, landscape median islands with live plants, signing and striping, streetlight and ITS underground, a pedestrian flasher signal at the intersection of Cimarron Road and Twain Avenue, cross culvert extension, culvert headwall, drop inlet, utility adjustments, and other appurtenances as may be necessary to construct a complete and functional roadway. Additional improvement include restriping buffered bike lanes from Flamingo Road to Katie Avenue.
A separate project to install an off-site waterline for the Desert Breeze Park is included in the construction work, for fire hydrant and 6" lateral, 8" water main, water valves, water blow-offs, 1" and 2" service laterals, connection to existing water facility, etc.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The Contractor shall complete the entire work within 120 calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed.
• Includes the standard termination for cause within 7 business days and termination for convenience language as in all public works efforts of this type.
The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 338.1385.5, a public body or its authorized representative shall award a contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
