BACKGROUND:

This Agreement is for commercial services including voice, video, data, and internet services with Cox Nevada Telcom, LLC dba Cox Business (NBE).

A Fiscal Directive No. 6, Competitive Bidding Exception, was approved due to infrastructure limitations within Clark County. Currently, only two providers, Cox and Lumen Technology, possess the necessary infrastructure to fully support County operations across the region. A Master Services Agreement (MSA) is being executed with both vendors.

The following are the pertinent provisions of the Agreement:
The term of the Agreement is from the Effective Date and shall continue for thirty-six (36) months and                      includes the option to renew for seven (7), one-year periods.
Includes the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default upon 30 days advanced                      written notice.

The recommendation of award is in accordance with NRS 332.115.1(d), the competitive bidding process is not required as the equipment which, by reason of the training of the personnel or of an inventory of replacement parts maintained by the local government is compatible with existing equipment.

Cox Nevada Telcom, LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
