BACKGROUND:

The Legacy Trail Underpass at Charleston/Legacy Trail Parking project is a cooperative effort between Clark County and the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), of which NDOT intends to delegate authority to the County to design, advertise, and manage construction of the project.  Improvements will involve connecting the parking lot on the south side of Charleston Boulevard to the pedestrian trail on the north side of Charleston Boulevard by way of an underpass.

The total project cost is $3,791,579. The federal funding through NDOT is $3,602,000, and the County is required to pay a 5% project match of $189,579. The Cooperative (Local Public Agency) Highway Agreement No. PR172-26-063 formalizes this requirement and identifies the responsibilities of both the County and NDOT.

The District Attorney's Office has reviewed and approved the cooperative agreement as to form.
