BACKGROUND:
On September 21, 2021, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of Bid No. 605862-21 for Annual Requirements Contract for Beltway Sign Maintenance to Highway Striping and Signs LLC (NBE) in the amount of $3,695,734.03 for Beltway sign maintenance across Clark County.
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2022 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods and included a 90-day extension. There are no renewal options remaining.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 25% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations.
• Included the option to increase the award amount up to 3% for possible price increases for renewal terms.
• Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Approval of Amendment No. 1 will provide for an additional two (2), one-year periods and removal of Contract extension period to the Contract term. The attached Amendment No. 1 document details the modification and costs involved.
Highway Striping and Signs LLC currently holds a Clark County Business License.
