BACKGROUND: 

The Urban Heat Fellowship was created as part of All-In Clark County to aid Clark County in navigating extreme heat. Heat has burdened our communities for decades, and as the impacts of climate change accelerate, exposure and vulnerability to extreme heat events will expand. This report will outline the Urban Heat Island effect, changes to the County's Cooling Center response, and ways to mitigate and adapt to extreme heat.
