BACKGROUND:
The claim is the result of an incident which resulted in bodily injury to claimant at Spring Mountain Youth Camp on May 6, 2022.
Through negotiations with legal counsel for the claimant, the claimant has agreed to accept $300,000 in settlement of the bodily injury claims to avoid any further costs and legal expenses of possible litigation in this case. If the settlement is approved, Clark County will avoid costs and expenses of future litigation.
The proposed settlement for $300,000 has been reviewed and approved by the Civil Division of the District Attorney's Office and the Clark County Liability Pool.
