BACKGROUND:

Chinatown and Koreatown celebrate the vibrant spirit of Asian culture as both a thriving community and a premier destination.  These areas foster small business growth, authentic cultural experiences and neighborhood pride through a rich blend of cuisine, entertainment, and shopping.  Currently, there are attempts to reenergize the areas with new development opportunities, but common challenges can limit investment.

This program provides up to $750,000 in financial support to empower property owners, tenants, and community partners in the Las Vegas Chinatown and Koreatown to make visible, lasting improvements that strengthen the area's role as a regional cultural destination.  The program is not to exceed a total of $750,000.  The program aims to improve safety, lighting, and mobility, support small businesses, and advance the goals of the Inspiring Spring Mountain Redevelopment Plan.
