BACKGROUND:
On June 19, 2018, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) approved the award of CBE No. 604895-18 in the amount of $870,000 annually aggregately for Forensic Pathology Services from providers qualified by Clark County Office of the Corner/Medical Examiner
The following are the pertinent provisions of the Contract:
• The term of the Contract was from date of award through June 30, 2019 and included the option to renew for 4, one-year periods. There are no options remaining. • Included the option to increase the award amount up to 20% based on possible increased user requirements for the renewal terms and approved budget appropriations. • Included the County’s option to terminate for cause, convenience or default and suspend the Contract with advanced written notice.
Amendment No. 1 increased the daily rate for Forensic Pathology Services from $1,000 to $2,000 in order to align with current market pricing and increase the success in recruitment of service providers.
Approval of Amendment No. 2 will increase the daily rate for Forensic Pathology services from $2,000 to $2,500, include compensation for court appearances and add an additional 1 year to the contract term until a new RFQ has been finalized. The attached Amendment No. 2 document details the modifications and costs involved.
All qualified providers shall be required to provide proof of insurance and obtain a Clark County Business License or Vendor Registration respectfully, prior to contract award.
