BACKGROUND:
This case concerns a trip and fall occurring on May 5, 2016, by Plaintiff during an adult recreational softball league evening game. The Plaintiff alleges bodily injuries associated with that trip and fall to her left knee and left elbow.Through negotiations with legal counsel for the plaintiff and as a result of the settlement conference, the plaintiff has agreed to accept $36,500 in settlement of the claim to avoid any further costs and legal expenses in this case. The proposed settlement has been reviewed and approved by the Civil Division of the District Attorney's Office which recommends that the settlement amount and Release of All Claims be approved and that the County's counsel be authorized to sign the Release on behalf of Clark County.
