BACKGROUND: 

The Clark County Department of Juvenile Justice is requesting that Clark County submit an application for consideration by the PERS Board to change from regular retirement status to police/fire retirement status.  This request covers seven (7) positions.  The department is requesting this change in order to recruit well qualified applicants in the future.
