BACKGROUND:
The Capital Acquisition and Modernization Fund (4375) will be used for major capital projects, including tenant improvements (TIs), land and building acquisitions, major equipment purchases, and projects to modernize facilities, and infrastructure. It is intended for capital investments that extend asset life, improve service delivery, and reduce long-term operating costs; routine maintenance and recurring operating expenses are excluded.
The Fund may be financed by transfers, debt, grants, and other one-time revenues and will operate under existing County budgetary and capital project controls. Project selection and oversight will follow established capital planning processes.
