BACKGROUND:

As a requirement of 40 CFR Part 58.10, Clark County must adopt and submit an annual monitoring network plan to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) by July 1 of each year. The attached 2025 Annual Monitoring Network Plan reports the status of the Clark County air monitoring network in 2025. It also describes changes planned through 2026 and the ways network data continues to be disseminated to the public in a timely manner.

The Department of Environment and Sustainability provided a 30-day period for the public to comment on the plan, from May 8 to June 7, 2025. The plan was available for review on the Publicinput.com website and at the Department's front counter. The comment period was advertised on the department website and in the "Las Vegas Review-Journal." No public comments were received.

Staff requests that the Board of County Commissioners approve and adopt the 2025 Annual Monitoring Network Plan and authorize its submittal to EPA.
