BACKGROUND:
Mr. Allswang currently works for the Department of Comprehensive Planning as a Planning Manager. He has been with the department from 2005 to 2013 and from 2023 to present. He has over 27 years of experience in land use planning administration and enforcement with both the City of Las Vegas and Clark County. Throughout his career, Mr. Allswang has developed extensive experience in Code Enforcement, Public Works and Comprehensive Planning, providing him with a broad perspective and the ability to address complex planning and development issues. He has demonstrated strong leadership in managing comprehensive planning initiatives while fostering collaborative relationships with industry representatives, community stakeholders, and governing boards. His ability to build consensus, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively supports the Board's strategic priorities and the Department's mission. Pursuant to Clark County Code Section 2.40.100, I am respectfully requesting that the Board ratify this appointment effective July 18, 2025.
