BACKGROUND:

On July 20, 2004, the Board of County Commissioners adopted a resolution authorizing the Fire Chief to accept donations to the department in an amount not to exceed $2,500 in personal property and $1,000 in monetary donations. Individual donations valued at $2,500 in personal property or $1,000 in cash will be presented to the Board of County Commissioners for acceptance at a regularly scheduled meeting.

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Healthcare Solutions will be donating gift cards with a total value of $1,000 to the department. The gift cards vary from Wal-Mart to Visa with a cash value of $10.00 each. The gift cards will be distributed to individuals receiving a vaccine as part of the COVID-19 Vaccination Program.

The Clark County Fire Department appreciates the generosity of its donor and recommends acceptance of the donation.
