BACKGROUND:
On April 17, 2023, a consolidated Fiscal Year 2024 Clark County Tentative Budget was filed with the State of Nevada Department of Taxation. The consolidated document that was filed with the State includes the budgets for the Clark County General Fund and all other funds under the auspices of the County, the unincorporated towns and special districts, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, the Clark County Water Reclamation District, the Eighth Judicial District Court, the Southern Nevada Health District, and the Kyle Canyon Water District. As in prior years, the submission also includes the Clark County Regional Flood Control District per the request of this Agency.
NRS 354.596 requires that a public hearing on the Tentative Budget be held no sooner than the third Monday in May, and no later than the last day in May. The Board, therefore, is being asked at this time to conduct a public hearing on the consolidated Fiscal Year 2024 Clark County Tentative Budget. The Department of Finance will be present to highlight the Tentative Budget for the Clark County General Fund.
A copy of the Tentative Budget has been physically available for review by the public at the Clark County Clerk’s Office, the Clark County Manager’s Office and posted on the County’s website since April 17, 2023.
